I’m back home now

Well I went with the hat. It’s a 1×1 ribbed beanie in Silk Garden (shade 225) and I finished it yesterday. I’m quite pleased with it even though I measured my needles wrong and knit it on 4mm rather than 4.5mm. At least its ribbed and I have a smallish head.
The tonsils are gone now [...]

Ravelry to the rescue

I’m in (well sometime last week) and I’m loving it. It’s even just come to the rescue. I’ve finished both heels on Widdershins and am looking at my calves and thinking… Dainty foot – fits fine, Not so dainty leg and calf – probably won’t fit with a straight stocking Stitch leg pattern. I’ve checked [...]

Back from Wales

It was a great weekend, sunny, a caravan instead of camping, fantastic clear surf… what more can you ask for? I don’t even mind that England lost the rugby because I was cheering (quietly) for South Africa.
The new bodyboard is great and I even managed to turn one of the heels for my Widdershins although [...]

Getting ready for the weekend

Off to Wales for the weekend tomorrow with the Sussex Canoe Club (for any Canadians out there that’s Canoes as in Kayaks) for a surf trip to the Gower Peninsula. Should be a good trip and I have my wetsuit and body board packed and am hoping it warms up since the sea will be [...]

Bowing to Peer Presure and finishing items

OK I’m going to bow to peer pressure (thanks Melissa) and a bit of guilt (because I have been shopping and I know there is some yarn in the post when the post strike is resolved) and finish some things.
I had actually finished this bag late last week and had it up at Ally Pally. [...]

Ally Pally – Part 2

Ok, Part 1 isn’t here yet, but with the camera dying I need to finish the disposable off and take it for developing so that I can have the pictures at Ally Pally rather than just the after shots of what I have bought. So part 2 will came before Part 1.
I really enjoyed it [...]

Bye bye little blue camera

Well it looks like my little camera has come to an end. It was slowing down at camp this summer and not getting enough power, but it is not getting anything from the batteries now. Luckily I found out before I got to Ally Pally and tried to take pictures. I’ve had to fall back [...]

Six years on

Happy Anniversary to us… It’s not as sunny as it was at the Brighton Registry office six years ago and I don’t remember falling down the stairs on the bus like I did this morning, but we’ve survived. Although it had changed hands we might try the Park View for dinner although they probably won’t have quite [...]
